CertifiedBackground.com accounts are easy to set up - simply contact your state's Certified Representative to get started. You also may follow the Get Started link to have a representative contact you directly.

A representative will assist you in designing a custom package and will provide you with pre-printed, personalized instruction forms to disperse to your students. From the CertifiedBackground.com website, students enter a package code unique to their school, fill out their identifying information, pay for and submit their information. You will be given a password and will be able to access both the progress and the results of your students' background checks.

As part of your online review, CertifiedBackground.com offers Record Scan, a service which automatically scans all of your background check results and alerts you of any records that require immediate attention. Record Scan is free for all users who review their background checks online. A more extensive Record Scan is also available which allows your organization to be alerted of certain records that match your search criteria. Record Scan should only be used as a tool to manage results. Users are encouraged to thoroughly review results to ensure accuracy.

A yellow yield sign      indicates that a record was found and your attention is required.

A red X      indicates that a record was found that failed criteria provided by your organization. A red X will only appear when a more extensive Record Scan process has been chosen.
